About
Welcome to my blog. I’m Lisa Isbell and I have two horses, Sebastian (Sebi for short) and Mick. Both are quarter horses and both are seniors. I got Sebi in 1986. He was 3 and had been ground broken but never ridden. He was in terrible condition and (unknown to me at the time) on his way to the slaughterhouse. He was also a stud. We had him gelded within days after assuming ownership.
My other horse is Mick. He is a retired barrelracer and was given to my husband Mark as a pleasure horse so he could live out his retirement with light work and lots of attention. As my daughter has gotten older she has claimed Mick as her own. She’s 10 and you’ll learn more about her and my son Tyler in my posts.
This blog is just a place to share our day to day lives with our horses and a place to pass on information I think would interest other “horse people”. You can share “virtual ownership” of our horses by following along with us through our blog posts. I know what it’s like to love horses and not have one. I didn’t get Sebi until I was 18 but I wanted a horse my entire life up to that point. No Internet on the scene back then so I settled for Breyer model horses
.
If you have horses, feel free to post your comments and share your resources too. I hope this develops into a community of horse lovers as time progresses.
Please visit our online store, White Oak Attic, it helps in allowing me to have the resources to publish this blog. By the way, there are links there to my other blogs and resources so if you have other hobbies you’ll want to visit White Oak Attic and share it with your friends.
Be sure to say hello by leaving your comments and thanks for stopping by!
